Delson or Sherman Architects

Sometimes you just click with an architect or interior designer. You find their website and open each job in their portfolio with growing excitement. The loft is your favourite until you see the townhouse ….no the house, no …. You throw your hands in the air and realise you love them all. These homes speak to you and they are almost yelling at you “YES!” I am so inspired by the work of Brooklyn-based Delson or Sherman Architects. Wonderful modern spaces that are graceful and well thought through with clever design solutions and great livability. Love!

Michael Richman

Elegant and sophisticated, timeless and unique. Chicago designer Michael Richman creates rooms that reflect their owner’s style and then shifts it up a notch with impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail. These are beautiful rooms with a modern take that references the best of the past.

Talk about strange coincidences. I had this post on Michael ready to publish this week when an email pops into my inbox introducing his latest venture R Studio, developed to fill the gap between exclusive high end residential interior design and retail store offerings. Great idea and cool site. Check it out while your lusting after Michael’s high end work.

Trine Thorsen

Love it when you recheck a website that gave you such pleasure the first time round only to find even more fabulousness. Kim spotlighted the stunning portfolio of Trine Thorsen at the beginning of the year. Gorgeous work! But wait there’s more. Yes this über talented Norwegian photographer has updated her site and her shots take my breath away. You know the mantra – lighting, composition, crop – but it’s true these photos are beautiful. Go check the website again and reintroduce yourself to Trine’s work.

Confection perfection

OK! OK! I know by now most of you have devoured every photo over at Airspace locations but….. I had to post one more. Oh this house is girly girl perfection. Confection without the calories. Don’t you wish your significant other would let you drape the house in pink and damask? Better still don’t you pine for the days when you were single and could do whatever you wanted to the bedroom?!

David Sanderson

As clean lined and modern as the spaces he captures, these shots by Brisbane photographer David Sanderson combine interesting angles and crops to provide the connection between inside and out, architecture and interior design. His pictures are simple, at times almost stark but they are honest in their interpretation of these minimalist spaces. Check out his personal work too. Great shots. As an aside it’s fun recognising the local architects’ work or commercial buildings I’ve been in. That last photo? The red cafe? It was actually a real estate office now gone. Sad. They made good coffee.
