Stalking warehouses

Posted on Wed, 5 Feb 2014 by midcenturyjo

Madly stalking amazing inner city Sydney warehouses. In a crazy, super paced, frenetic world an oasis of calm behind a give nothing away facade. Please, please, please let me win the lottery and be able to buy this beauty. Warehouse conversion in Alexandria, Sydney by architect Dale Jones Evans. For sale. Hands off. No one else buy it! Link here while it lasts.

Wauwinet Ramble

A classic style Nantucket cottage. A new build that references the past. A good neighbour that fits in. Wauwinet Ramble is just what you’d expect of a shingle clad beach house but come on inside. There’s a happy little surprise. House design by workshop/apd in collaboration with  Studio Massaud and of course interiors by Jonathan Adler. Tradition takes a chill pill.

Winter white

Kim has escaped the winter white of Canada to colourful Mexico. Doesn’t mean the rest of us have to avoid white. Loving these beautiful images from photographer Giorgio Possenti.

Stalking on a Saturday

Posted on Sat, 1 Feb 2014 by midcenturyjo

I have turned from the embrace of my dark darling and now offer my undying love to the light. What on earth am I babbling about? A couple of years ago I lost my heart to artist Marcella Kaspar‘s home except that I thought it was fashion icon and style setter Maggie Tabberer’s home but it wasn’t because Maggie Tabberer’s home was Marcella’s old home and Marcella and builder/designer Mark Cooper had built a new home in the same style but beautifully dark and moody. Confused? All you need to know is that this is indeed Maggie Tabberer’s home and it is for sale. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. The photos don’t do it justice. Those who have seen it in magazine shoots will know what  I mean. I would move in a heart beat. Perhaps I can haunt the open for inspections. Oh I truly am a stalker now. Link here while it lasts.
