As you may have noticed my taste has drifted from anything modern and contemporary to a bit more classic and traditional which is why I really love this. The joining of 2 apartments in Greenwich Village to create a wonderful space for a family with such beautiful architectural details and lots of classic elements. Welcome to this serene country club retreat designed by Moore House Design for busy Boston professionals who have cherished summers at the Aquidneck Club in Rhode Island for over 20 years. They jumped when a rare condo in the historic clubhouse came up for sale. While the exteriors reflected New England shingle-style architecture, the interiors required transformation from outdated 90s finishes. The redesign balances their minimalist aesthetic with vintage lighting, clean lines and unique art for a modern, comfortable space.

Netherwood Road in Brook Green, London, is the latest project by Ola Jachymiak Studio transforming the space into a sunlit, Mediterranean-style haven. This 120 m² duplex has been meticulously reconfigured to create comfortable, functional rooms. The upper floor features a lofted kitchen and living room while the lower floor houses two bedrooms, bathrooms and ample storage. Hidden cupboards match the walls for a seamless look, and a large, light-filled master bathroom was achieved with a well-placed window. A neutral beige and white palette highlights the client’s artwork, making this an inviting, personalized oasis.

The loft-style condominiums at 62 Reade Street combine modern living with the preservation of the building’s architectural heritage (once a clock factory). New York-based ODA designed the interiors with a refined, upscale take on loft-style living, using natural materials and a light, airy palette of off-white and beige. White oak floors, exposed beams, fluted glass steel doors and high-end appliances blend modern luxury with original character, honouring the site’s rich past.
