A blank canvas, an empty page to be written on with life’s experiences and daily detritus. A place on which to put one’s stamp. Pure and puritan. Asymmetrical and multidimensional. Open plan and yet connected. Modern living in the Old Town and New Town, Vilnius by Lithuanian design firm Inblum.

Stalking a little deco darling

I’m stalking an apartment in Rose Bay, Sydney today. A small but delightfully formed art deco home. From moments of drama to serene spaces it certainly punches above its weight. I’d love to see more. I guess that’s the way the owner and agent want me to feel. Time for a viewing? Link here while it lasts.

Another clever apartment design by Brazilian architects Ouriço. Panels slide and walls open. Doors swing wide and secrets are hidden.

Crisp contemporary lines are warmed by wood and an earthy colour palette. Shots of colour are used sparingly to punctuate the calm spaces. Changes in level and the repetition of strong vertical elements define each zone. Pared back sophistication is the signature of this Lycabettus Penthouse by Athenian architecture firm esé studio. Modern Greek design at its best.

Up under the eaves sits an urban pad just right for inner city single’s living. Light streams into this warehouse conversion, bouncing off white walls and polished concrete floor. Small but not too bijou for entertaining with a weighted wall of glass and steel that opens up to the outdoor courtyard. Add a little of your own personality and you’ll have a stylish inner city base. Close to the action but safe and sound up under those aeves. Link here while it lasts.
