Back in 2019 I featured the Camden apartment of Luke Edward Hall and Duncan Campbell that was a very colourful combination of mostly green and pink and I fell in love with it. A few years later and maybe a few iterations later, their apartment now has a whole new “Venice” vibe (though still with shades of green and pink). Lots of graphic wallpaper. dark textiles, faux marble, a bold red kitchen topped with a pediment and urns, a lush fabric-laden bedroom make this version of their apartment so much moodier and by far my favourite. In redesigning this Brooklyn Heights apartment, interior designer Augusta Hoffman has drawn inspiration from the neighbourhood’s elegant brownstones. The space is contemporary yet in harmony with the historic surroundings. A combination of antique and modern furniture, a blending of styles, makes for a unique atmosphere. Small details, like brass accents and a scenic mural, add character. The resulting apartment is a harmonious mix of warmth, sophistication, and subtle drama, inviting without being overpowering.

Kim has shared an overview of New York-based product and interior designer Nicholas Obeid before. Still, when I came across his portfolio again I knew I wanted to take a closer look at this Soho apartment. A timeless mix of bespoke and vintage pieces carefully tames the ample space. What a luxurious problem to have, to make a vast apartment in New York cosy and inviting.

A celebration of modern and traditional in this light and bright Madrid apartment by architectural and interior design studio Gärna. Antiques are juxtaposed with clean-lined contemporary pieces creating a timeless elegance. Although only 94 m2 the space packs a punch albeit in a velvet glove.
