Elm Residence

“Elm Residence is an Edwardian style five bedroom residence with a contemporary extension that’s designed surrounds an established Golden Elm tree. The property provides an experiential journey through the flow of passage from one end to the other, bringing old and new sensitively together. The ‘old and new’ are connected by a timber lined link, with natural stone portals announcing the transition through from the original house. Elm Residence combines natural materiality and luxurious details, layered with art and objects that create a rich yet comfortable atmosphere.”

For the top floor of a classical and stately Edwardian in the iconic neighborhood of Pacific Heights- perched 400 ft above sea level, we transformed one wing into a private Primary Suite complete with a bedroom lined with linen walls, travertine-clad bathroom, and walk-in closet. The other wing became a cozy Media Room where the family of 4 can hang out regularly and enjoy views of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.

Rosso Verde

Rejecting size for substance, this warehouse conversion carved out a landscaped courtyard allowing a connection to nature and a break-out outdoor space. With its new coherent layout, the unique interiors introduced luxurious materials such as the burgundy and dusty pink Breccia Rosso marble in the kitchen. A double-height void links floors drawing the eye up and the light in. The design elegantly marries deep red steel frames, brass-hued curtains and the tropical greenery beyond. Sophisticated and comfortable, Rosso Verde by Carter Williamson.

This apartment in Warsaw designed by Finchstudio is so incredibly warm with shades of green, yellow and brown. The cohesion with using some repetitive colours and tiles in more than one room really makes the spaces flow. Now THIS is how you design a small space right! Photos: Aleksandra Dermont
