Aside from every colour under the sun being incorporated into this 200 sq m 1960s Sydney home you also have exposed brick, mural painted on brick, ‘crazy pavers’ flooring, tile, marble, white cork etc. making this home as dynamic and energizing as can be. Glin Castle is an incredible 20,000 square foot, 14th century, 18-bedroom, 18-bath Georgian house in Ireland owned by actor Dominic West, his wife Catherine Fitzgerald and 2 of her sisters (having been in their family since it’s creation). They have lovingly restored the castle and used it as a retreat, but now it’s available to book privately. What an absolutely breathtaking piece of history. Giancarlo Valle of the eponymous Studio Giancarlo Valle is arguably one of our favourite designers. A strong design aesthetic, an assured use of colour, a wonderful sense of light and shade, space and void. This Soho Townhouse has been taken from bland and boring new build to a home full of colour and character, style and daring.

I could not love this more, another gem that is in classic Anthony George style. Uniue colour combinations, fun fabrics, a bit of a tribal vibe, and a cute pup to boot.

For the record I don’t think this is an actual château but since it sure looks like it could be one I’m going with it 🙂 This is the summer home of Argentinian architect Luis Laplace and his partner Christophe Comoy. (It was Christophe’s grandmother’s, and they purchased it when she passed away. It had been in their family since the French Revolution) . It was built in the 17th century and is located in the Gaillac region of Tarn, France. This home is an absolute dream inside and out.
