Liljencrantz Design

Carefully and beautifully curated rooms that are minimalist but not at all sterile. Subtle variations in colour and texture. Elegant and intentional. The hallmark of great Scandinavian design and the signature of Stockholm-based Liljencrantz Design.

In another life

In another life I live in this fabulous house in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles. In another life that imposing living room with its Hans Wegner chaise and Serge Mouille lighting is mine. The chandeliers, the vintage finds, the deeply moody wood panelled den, the extravagant bathroom and that garden room, oh that garden room. In real life it belongs to Brigette Romanek who, along with Estee Stanley, is the creative force behind Hancock Design.

A designer’s family home

Can a family home be seriously sexy? It can if it belongs to interior designer and owner of interiors boutique Pieces, Lee Kleinhelter. Oh my! Sleek contemporary lines with more than a nod to its historical suburb and all with the glamorous, sophisticated vintage vibe that Atlanta, Georgia based Kleinhelter does so well.

Lavishly French

Posted on Wed, 28 Sep 2016 by KiM

Essentially the opposite of my last post which was modern and minimalist, this home is about as grand, lavish and French as it gets! The French Rooms is available as a location space through lordshippark.com and is two rooms occupying the reception floor of an imposing Victorian villa. Furnished with the finest French antiques, opulent fabrics and exquisite treasures, it’s not exactly decor I would want to live with 24/7 but I sure would love a weekend visit – without the herd of cats!

It may be perfectly formed It may be stylish. They may compare it to Coco Chanel. A little black dress. One thing is for sure. This Potts Point, Sydney apartment (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a prime location) has a high end couture price tag. $3.75 million AUD. Yes that’s millions. Gasp. I just choked on my Chanel pearl necklace. Link here will it lasts.
