It’s that time in Australia where winter skies are the brightest blue and the days warm enough to believe that winter might just be over. Doors thrown open, water views that sparkle, days that lengthen, promises of summer fun made. I can’t think of a better place to farewell winter, embrace spring and dream of a long, long summer than this beautiful Vaucluse, Sydney house with the charming name of Bohemia. The scope of work for this Kensington, London home included the refurbishment of the kitchen and dining room. Think bespoke joinery, installation of interior and exterior crittall windows and the icing on the cake, the decoration. The result is a celebration of colour and pattern, of stylish family living. I never in a million years would have that I could fall this much in love with a home where the accent colours are red, blue and yellow. And this kitchen is now added to my top 5 favourites (don’t ask me what the other 4 are LOL). I am head over heels for this 5,200 sq ft penthouse apartment, formerly a hospital, located in the heart of West Village. Designed by Studio Shamshiri, photos by Shade Degges.
I have another villa to share with you with some serious Mediterranean vibes. Blues, greys and white are the colour scheme in this home in Capri by Swiss designer Jorge Cañete. This one has an other-worldly, magical aura that I have come to expect from Jorge’s projects (see here and here for more). Breathtaking.

I’m still in London and I’m still lamenting the fact that I can’t afford anything at all but a girl can still live vicariously through real estate listings. I must say that I could move straight into this split level apartment in an old print works factory in East Central London between Old Street and Clerkenwell. Exposed beams, bold blue kitchen and great art. Love it all. Mitchell Street, London EC1 via The Modern House.
