Interior designer Alexandra Boussagol designed this Paris pied-à-terre located in a hôtel particulier for her art collector client and I love the warmth and dramatic elements. To make this apartment contemporary, the architect Alexandra BOUSSAGOL evolved around three axes: the curve, the use of  sophisticated wood and noble stones – to design custom furniture and create certain coverings –, and the color – worked from ad hoc manner, chosen according to its intensity in order to counterbalance the whiteness of the walls. The monumental doors, hand-crafted from wenge-tinted wood, welcome visitors into a warm and sophisticated atmosphere. The original oak banister retains its charm, while the marquetry parquet flooring, arranged in a reflective rosette, captures and diffuses the light, illuminating every corner with subtle elegance. What can this man not do? Fashion designer, television host and interior designer Christian Siriano of Siriano Interiors has brought this 1744 Connecticut home to life with colour and vintage and antique pieces. Timeless, stylish and a standout.

“I want no white walls.” With those five words, Kati Curtis Design had its Tudor home interior design directive and began the process of gathering ideas + inspiration. Since we’re known as the go-to interior designers for color and pattern, those words also served as confirmation that we and our client were perfectly in synch. With that, a happy collaboration took off in this “Millennial Gothic” home, a modern take on the house’s original Tudor interior design style.
There is a lot going on in this home and I know now everyone could live with so much going on but I had to share for those that dream of having this much colour and pattern (and glossy finishes) in their lives. Life’s too short to not go for it, right?
