Mid-century meets traditional in this Lisbon apartment by André Vilar de Azevedo of Studio AVA and the result is fresh and decidedly on trend. Who would have thought that you could mix your blue and white pots with Jeanneret chairs and that a simple white hallway with modern mouldings and antique statuary could be so sexy?

“We are passionate about creating unique, individual, timeless homes where warmth and functionality are paramount. We love colour combined with texture and natural materials, creating stylish, eclectic, comfortable homes where treasured possessions still have their place alongside the contemporary.”

If cottagecore is all the rage for 2021 then I’d like this cottage by Forbes Rix. A fabulous celebration of colour. Contemporary and light-filled. Traditional and eclectic.
