A little jewel box of an apartment in Sydney’s Potts Point. Rich colours, an eclectic mix of furniture, surrounded by life’s treasures and mementos, of course a wall of books and to top it off an iconic view. Twin Peaks

“Twin Peaks House is an alteration to a historic villa in central Auckland, which takes inspiration from the original architecture in creating a contemporary space for a young family.”

The original old house may have had a small footprint but it had lofty ceilings. The soaring heights and the sun that poured in through large windows informed this new addition by Pac Studio. Grand proportions in a simple house.

My next home must must MUST have a decent sized kitchen. This one designed by Erika Powell of Urban Grace Interiors is probably the size of my house. What a dream! So much room to cook up a storm and stash away every possible pot and serving dish and small appliance you could ever need. I included some photos of the outdoor spaces too in case the kitchen wasn’t enough to make you fall in love with this home.

Quiet simplicity

“The clients desired ‘quiet simplicity’, which became the core of our brief, an essay in balance, quietly telling a story.”

A pared back sophistication with a restrained colour palette, luxurious yet subtle materials and a nod to the buildings Art Deco heritage. Quiet simplicity and quite beautiful. Woollahra Residence by Sydney-based Tom Mark Henry.
