It’s a coming together, a partnership, a considered mix that transformed a town’s old post office into a contemporary farmhouse. Sullivan + Associates worked on revising the layout while interior designers White Arrow worked their magic on the interiors for this historic Matha’s Vineyard renovation. Vintage pieces with modern furniture, shiplap and traditional features with the needs of contemporary living. “The home’s interiors take inspiration in the nearby ocean and farmland, with indigo-dyed canvas, warm textural linen, natural fibers, and leather.”

Ghost gums and a lazy, easy water view. An existing home and the need for a new kitchen and laundry. Fresh, coastal, stylish yet casual. The perfect contemporary solution for a young family informed by its natural surrounds on the water in Sydney’s Clareville. By Sydney based interior design firm Studio Gorman.

It’s a fine balancing act. Eclectic and exuberant, luxurious and timeless, family-friendly and West Side cool. Get it wrong and the balls will come tumbling down. No chance when your interior designer is Tali Roth. Her masterful reworking of this Chelsea townhouse is textured, layered, bold and bright.

“The Collector House feels wonderfully relaxed. Sunlight streams in from the central skylight and fills the rooms. The view of the harbour, framed by jacaranda and eucalypts, and the ferries passing by all contribute to the overall sense of calm. It’s a barefoot house – warm and grounded, with space for loved ones to gather.”
There are touches of humour and art, honest materials and a sense of the Aussie vernacular. There are private spaces and places to come together. And then there’s the view. Collector House by Sydney-based interior designers Arent & Pyke.
