I had to start at the back of this house where the kitchen is located because I am in loooove. My kitchen is about the size of this glorious marble-topped island, so to have all this space plus it fits a sofa and a dining table….*sigh*. I also really love the killer angled tile backsplash and one of my all-time favourite pendants lighting up the island (Lampe Gras). The rest of this location home in London is pretty sweet too. Last week I shared the work of San Francisco based interior designer Jeff Schlarb. You didn’t I was going to stop with just one house? Of course not. He calls it Rad Elegance. I call it mid century modern meets restrained glam. Fabulous!
We don’t often feature products on the blog but when the company includes photos as fabulous as these of their products “in situ” I have to share. These make me want to buy TOUTES LES LAMPES. Lampe Gras. Possibly overtaking my love of the Jielde.
As I say week after week if you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend it helps if it’s somewhere stylish… like this office by Dutch interior design firm Studio Slow. Love the Formakami pendant lights by Jaime Hayon and the deliciously refreshing minty green paint (Aresenic from Farrow & Ball).
I have a “thing” for lighting. Table lamps and floor lamps, wall washers and pendants. Layer upon layer of ambiant lighting. I think it’s like adding jewellery to an outfit. Little sparkles and highlights. Time for a little lighting eye candy, in particular pendants.
