Vintage charm in a 1930’s home in London

Posted on Sun, 27 Oct 2019 by KiM

This 1930’s semi-detached, 6 bedroom home in London is something I can definitively get behind as it is filled with some of my favourite things. Mid-century vintage furnishings, an epic plant wall, crittall windows, ballsy floral stair carpet and dreamy tile bathrooms. Available as a location home via Shoot Factory.

A Utah ski house with a mid-century groove

Posted on Tue, 8 Oct 2019 by KiM

This ski house in Utah exudes so much exuberance and whimsy, that starts in the entrance with a dipped painting, and was clearly inspired by Josef Frank textiles. Mid-century vibes and lots of colours round out this home and make it such a fun place to chill. Designed by Redmond Aldrich.

The garden of Mrs. Brody

Posted on Thu, 3 Oct 2019 by midcenturyjo

You may remember my post on the restoration of the Brody House, a mid century gem. Now it’s time to take a closer look at the garden by Scott Schrader.

“Scott’s landscape designs are borne out of an intuitive ability to connect with the interior ‘heart’ of the home; resulting in an exterior environment that flows naturally, stylishly and serenely from this core.”

A stellar house and a stunning landscape.

This apartment designed by Joanna Lavén is an absolute DREAM! The architectural details in every space is blowing my mind. Add in the decor that is sophisticated with a mid-century flair and I am just about to keel over in excitement.

An eclectic mid-century home

Crushing on another Heidi Caillier project (if you missed the last one it is here) and this one is lighter and dare I say funkier than the last. But it is equally fabulous and I just love how she pairs pieces from various styles always with a vintage touch and creates magical spaces.
