Julia Buckingham and her team at Buckingham Interiors + Design are essentially creating magic. These first 7 photos are a prime example. You have a high-rise apartment with nothing architecturally interesting except sweet views and floor to ceiling windows and this firm has turned it into a dynamic and modern space. I added a bunch more photos too because I am really drawn to her unique, creative and bold style.

Stalking a TV producer’s warehouse

Posted on Sat, 24 Mar 2018 by midcenturyjo

I’m in the Sydney suburb of Annandale stalking the warehouse home of Julian Cress, Executive Producer of the Australian reality renovation show The Block. Originally his artist father’s studio, Cress and his family have transformed the vast shell into a modern home while retaining its industrial roots. Price guide is $4 million AUD so the vast majority of us will never be able to afford it but we can dream. Link here while it lasts.

White in Port Weybridge

It’s white, bright and totally livable. It’s family friendly, fresh and fab. I love the kitchen with its nod to traditional cabinetry and I’m seriously coveting the family bathroom. Brazilian drama

It’s dramatic. It’s stylish. It’s edgy and it’s the show home (or should I say apartment) by Studio ro+ca for CasaCor Rio 2017, the largest and most complete exhibition of architecture, interior design and landscaping in the Americas showcasing the best of the best. All I can say is ouch! Brazilian design is so hot.

Modern industrial by Regan Baker

I love this really fun, mid-century modern home designed by Regan BakerSecond home, stylish brewery owners, decided to hire Regan Baker Design to transform their beloved Duboce Park home into an organic modern oasis reflecting their modern aesthetic and sustainable, green conscience lifestyle. From hops to floors, we worked extensively with our design savvy clients to provide a new footprint for their kitchen, dining and living room area, redesigned three bathrooms, reconfigured and designed the master suite, and replaced an existing spiral staircase with a new modern, steel staircase.
