Intoxicating and serene, the ’70s Rêve is a glam rock riff on the sultry vibes and breezy bliss of bohemian life. Restored and reconceived, this lush estate in Ross, California, exudes a balmy calm with a sexy swagger. Earthy and sumptuous, playfully plush, it teems with the effervescent cool of a YSL muse—both ageless and of the moment. A 70’s dream this is! Viviano Viviano is a mother-son (Catherine and Michael) interior design and architecture firm based in Houston, Texas, and I love what they do. We create modern spaces imbued with warmth and comfort. Our projects vary in tone and personality – indeed, each is a reflection of the respective client’s lifestyle and interests – but we aim for a quiet elegance across all our work. We curate a studious mix of vintage, antique and contemporary pieces meant to evoke a sense of timelessness and ease.

This contemporary extension to a Federation home in Sydney’s Bondi is light, bright and family friendly. The open plan, luxe but subtle material palette and the layering of texture result in welcoming modern living that brings this beautiful old home into a new century. This stately, elegant home in Old Westbury, New York, was designed by Michelle Gerson who played up the elegance of the architecture and went balls to the wall with it. It is modern, sophisticated and imbued with a glamorous WOW factor room by room. (Photos: Douglas Friedman & Howard W. Christian)

I really love the bright, neutral, modern vibes happening in this Texas home designed by Amanda Brooke. The entertainment feature wall is a brilliant design choice, with built-in lighting and storage, and the brass accents in the kitchen with matching marble is gorgeous. (Photos: Jack Thompson)
