Modern meets classic meets earthy

This is what Kate Marker does best. Neutral, earthy tones with some dark touches, a classic and approachable take on modern that is really cozy and timeless. This massive house has a lot of white going on for my personal taste but Kate manages to make it feel really warm with some of the secondary spaces in darker tones and leaning on wood elements to add texture and keep it from being too bright and stark. “Set on the banks of the Brisbane River this three-level apartment was transformed into a warm and welcoming home for a young family of four. The extensive renovation saw SLI strip the entire apartment back to its bones before reconfiguring it into a four-bedroom, four-bathroom home. Our primary objective was to create a space that seamlessly blends sophistication, functionality, and a sense of comfort with a focus on adding warmth and texture. Each level has been thoughtfully curated to cater to the specific needs and preferences of the family, providing a seamless flow between shared spaces and private retreats.”

Style and substance with an amazing view. I love sharing homes from my part of the world. New Farm Residence by Samantha Leigh.

“Purposeful yet uncontrived, raw yet polished, structured yet whimsical, much like nature itself.”

It’s that simple

Sometimes a home just needs a simple, relaxed and minimal take on its interior. After hours of searching for content for this blog when I come across something like this, it is so refreshing and calming. A colonial home in Westchester, NY by Studio Dorion.
