I’m still running away from a horrid day. You’ll find me in Tecolutla, Veracruz, Mexico at Hotel Azúcar. I’ll save you a hammock.
Dear Santa,
I know it still 111 days until Christmas but you might need the extra time to work on my present. You see I’ve fallen quite hard for this Sag Harbor Boat House by Kevin O’Sullivan and Associates. Don’t bother wrapping it or popping it in my stocking. Perhaps you could just give me a lift in your sleigh to Sag Harbor to my new boat house instead? Oh and maybe leave me a boat at the end of the jetty… and bring all my blog friends for lunch? Thanks Santa. I promise I’ve been good… most of the time.
Blogging about incredible design is a hazardous pursuit. I kid you not. Hazardous to your peace of mind. How can I erase from my mind’s eye the wondrous sight of these cabins settled within a glorious garden on the slopes of Mill Valley, California? I can’t. I’ll spend the day dreaming about how and why and when and what I’d do if they were mine and I’ll fall asleep with that roof garden slowly intruding my nocturnal revelries. Mill Valley Cabins, home to an artist and a gardener/yoga enthusiast by San Francisco based Feldman Architects.
I love the inner city suburbs of Sydney. Darlinghurst, Potts Point, Paddington, Redfern and the suburb that contains today’s stalking victim subject, Surry Hills. You all know I love a Victorian era terrace house. I stalk enough of them here on the blog. Narrow and small, dark and dank, often difficult to live expansively in, a design challenge to update for the needs of modern living which is why I’m taken by this interesting interpretation of inside/outside, up/down living. A fab inner urban crash pad. Link here while it lasts.
P.S. The video helps explain the space much better than the photos.
Loving this fun and eccentric Spanish getaway in Sotogrande, Cádiz by interior design firm Melián Randolph. Part Mediterranean, part country, part modern, it is a beautiful home with an even more beautiful landscape. I can see huge family gatherings here.
