Colour, pattern, quirkiness. Style, finesse and personality. It’s playful. It’s sophisticated. It’s fabulous. I can’t think of a better way to start the new year on Desire to Inspire than this North London home by Australian born, London based designer Peter Mikic.

I spotted this home on Architectural Digest Spain yesterday and had to share because I am looking for bolder colour ideas for my dining room and THIS IS IT!!! Designed by Maximiliano Crovato, this 60 m2 home in São Paulo uses pinks throughout and they are absolutely stunning shades of a sort of dusty coral pink and a brighter fuschia shade. Paired with purple and red accents, it’s bold and unexpected and super fabulous!

This is such a pretty home by Calgary interior designer and hot on the Canadian interiors media scene Alykhan Velji. Timeless and classic with accents in blue and pink, these spaces are bright and functional and could easily be changed up winter/summer or if you simply want a new colour accent.

I am crushing hard on this home designed by London-based Tiffany Duggan of Studio Duggan. It is a eye-catching blend of dark colours, pattern, some pink which always wins me over, and graphic patterned tile. Yes, yes, yes and YES!

Running, jumping, diving into Amanda Barnes‘ portfolio. Refreshing. Inspiring. I couldn’t choose just one house so I cherry picked my favourites. Light and bright with subtle highlights of blush and faded indigo through to dark and dramatic dining. Stylish, casually elegant, family living.
