OK so the house actually was renovated by fashion designer Alannah Hill but Barbie could move right in. Perfect pink, flowery, frou-frou fabulousness… and did I mention pink? Link here while it lasts.

Oh my I’ve died and gone to kitchen heaven. This is it. English country kitchen perfection and… it’s a showroom. We all know I’m smitten by anything that deVOL Kitchens design so it’s no surprise that I have been following the fitout of their new Clerkenwell, London showroom on their Instagram account. Pink fireplace wall, handmade green wall tiles, bespoke cabinets in dreamy blue and copper pans hanging on a creamy tongue and groove wall. The little chandelier, majolica plates and vintage portrait are icing on the cake. I couldn’t wait for the showroom to turn up on their website. I just had to share their IG posts.

… is ppppperfect don’t you think? With a slap of fabulous colour and a gallery wall to make you all envious, this flush of fun is by Summer Thornton Design.

“I worked with many of the client’s existing pieces on this project and took my color cues from the art painted by the lady of the house herself. They were willing to take risks with bold pattern and combining new with the old. I think the result is a highly individual, collected feeling abode that exudes warmth and character.”– Jayme Armour Interiors
It’s that mix of old and new with the home owner’s existing pieces centre stage that draws me to this lovely home. The pinks and blues, the subtle pattern on pattern. It’s light, fresh revitalisation. (P.S. I just know I’d get on with the owners if their wine cork collection is anything to go by.)

I think it is really important to have your home reflect your personality and interests. The homeowner of this apartment is a world traveller and it is so meaningful and beautiful that her interior designer Peter Wilds incorporated her treasures brought back from travels in her space. Mixed in with a bit of mid-century modern and time-worn vintage pieces, it speaks volumes of the homeowner’s love of colour (that pink wall is amazing!) and travel, particularly to India.
