The renovation and extension of this Beverley Hills home included the incorporation of elements from a dismantled 19th century wood barn as well as a new entrance and landscaping. The old beams and siding add warmth to the expansive rooms. I love the marriage of the new build with the old barn wood, the mid century feel of the furnishings working back against the aged timbers and white walls and the beautiful dry climate garden. This beautifully renovated home located in Ciutadella de Minorca, Spain makes for an ideal spot to spend the hot summers. Bright whites, tile and stained concrete floor, rustic architecture and casual furnishings have me wanting to pack my bags. This no-nonsense, leave-your-flip-flops-on decor is so inviting. *sigh* Via Micasa.  

I think it’s a first. I honestly believe we have never featured an events complex on the blog. It wasn’t a hard decision though when the space was designed by Isabel López-Quesada. Just 15 minutes from Madrid, Finca Las Tenadas is a series of barns beautifully redefined by López-Quesada and landscape designer Fernando Martos. A fairytale setting for fabulous functions don’t you think? Makes me almost want to get married again… oops I mean renew my vows.
