The exterior of this home blew me away, but how San Antonio-based architecture firm Poteet Architecture updated the interior left me speechless. A fantastic example of taking something old, preserving the elements that should be saved and updating the rest for a young family. This isn’t your granny’s house anymore!

The carriage + pool house is as awesome as the main house. LOVE!!!

This may be my all time favourite warehouse conversion ever featured on this here blog. This beauty is a recently converted and extended ironmongers warehouse in London. THE KITCHEN!!! A total dream in tile, concrete, walnut, marble, copper, brass and brick. TO DIE FOR!!! I would stop there but I am also a new huge fan of terrazzo flooring so there’s that too. A 150 m2 home that was uninhabited for quite some time in Barcelona with no personality and lacking in light and flow was totally transformed by Bárbara Aurell, interior architect and designer of Espacio en blanco. I would guess Bárbara has a thing for white, and it seems so do these homeowners. This apartment was transformed with lots of white paint and furnishings and the result is charming and bright. And the bathroom is to die for! Via Nuevo Estilo.

When you can almost reach out and touch the blue Mediterranean Sea from your terrace, when the sun baths your holiday house in golden light and when the views are of the green forested headlands then choosing a colour palette is easy.
