Camille Hermand Architectures encore

Posted on Mon, 9 Nov 2015 by midcenturyjo

Love this renovation of a family apartment in Paris by Camille Hermand Architectures. A soupçon of modern. A soupçon of retro. A soupçon of French glamour. Just a little taste here on the blog. You can see more on the website.

do epic shit.

So it’s Friday at the office and you don’t want to leave. SAY WHAT?!?! If this were my office I might have a hard time tearing myself away, even on a Friday afternoon. The Superette office, a completely gutted warehouse space where hard work is key, because you are “not here to fuck spiders”, but to “do epic shit”. Yeah, THAT’S RIGHT. A house near Berlin

I wanted to share another project by Loft Szczecin, where simplicity is the key, allowing beautiful furnishings and lighting to take centre stage. The hardwood floors are pretty incredible too. (Speaking of hardwood floors, my living and dining room floors and staircase are being refinished on Tuesday. Can’t wait – BUH BYE orange!!! Going to stay with my folks during the process and leaving the cats here to survive in the basement and kitchen…this should be interesting)

Caught up in the details

I had to share this cozy little spot (LOL) in Biarritz, France because it is all about the details, and details that will knock your socks off! Elegant harlequin marble tile, beautifully detailed woodwork, stunning chandeliers, a marble bathroom to die for…it is exquisite all around. By Paris-based design couple Patrick Gilles and Dorothée Boissier.
