I’m running away from Christmas. Who else is in? And I’m not escaping to a hip, happening must do destination… or am I? For a long time many of our nations’ capitals have got a bad wrap. Dull, boring hubs of government and not much else. Just ask Kim. She lives in Ottawa. Things are changing, at least in Australia’s national capital Canberra. How much more hip and happening can the new Hotel Hotel get? So cool it’s positively frosty… that’s if it wasn’t so hot. Anyone else want to run to Canberra? At least until Christmas is over?

We can never get enough of Paris based interior designer Sarah Lavoine. Here is one of her latest residential projects – a classy apartment in Paris’ 7ème arrondissement completed earlier this year. It seems alot more tailored and toned down compared to her previous work but it is eye catching nonetheless. And she always makes room for something a little quirky. How about a polar bear in front of the fireplace?

I could not get enough of Heather Garrett‘s loft from last week, so I bring you some really beautiful spaces from a few of her other projects.

I have one more beauty from Rethink Design Studio for you. This time it is quite bold in a Hollywood Regency sort of way. Lots of pattern and colour (someone loves pink, purple and turquoise!). I am pretty sure having such a bold bedroom would quickly make me go cuckoo but it is well executed nonetheless. 

 I haven’t been able to leave interior designer Mark Lewis‘ website because I love everything. It’s like I’m lost in the pages. Don’t send a search party though. I’m very very happy in here.
