I think I am going to add ‘live in a castle in Normandy’ to my bucket list. This home belongs to Elisa Bartillat, co-founder of Serendipity and it is just that – a small 19th century castle in Normandy. Filled with a mix of vintage items and bits from her store, it is captivating. Via MilK, photos by Louise Desrosiers.

Be still my beating heart. I’m having palpitations. My favourite architectural real estate site Modern House has a new listing and it has me in a spin. Rippon House (1971) by Gerry Rippon of Towell & Rippon. I think I could have called this post stalking chair porn. An amazing house, an amazing collection of furniture.
(A and C abandon your families. Rob a bank. We need to pool resources and buy this baby.)

Typically if Jo and I feature a conversion, it is of a church, or a barn. This time I have one that is a little different. It is a former bank in Detroit – a stunning structure, despite copious amounts of graffiti (so sad). The openness, the vestibule, the windows, and OMG the potential on the roof! I would live here in a heartbeat (if the ‘hood isn’t too sketchy). Thanks Suzanne for the link! (via, photos by Michelle and Chris Gerard)

This dining room brings a smile to my face. Don’t you love it when that happens? By interior decorator and stylist Marion Alberge.
