Here’s a peek at a bit more Melbourne-based architecture. This time the folks responsible are Zwei Interior Architecture. They took on the renovation of the rear of an existing Californian bungalow in Victoria and here are a few photos of the results. Happy weekend!

Melbourne-based architect Andrew Maynard is a genius when it comes to being innovative and maximizing the site he has to work with. This home blows me away. It’s a renovation of an existing Victorian terrace home in inner city Melbourne. The owners requested a large flexible area suitable for entertaining. Flexible is what they got as this design blends the indoors with the outdoors and all the windows makes it such a bright and inviting home. Love the exposed brick which warms up the space and that tiny little pool is awesome! (P.S. Jo featured his work way back in ’07.)

Couldn’t contain my admiration for Prue Ruscoe‘s work to just one post. I had to overindulge in more fabulous photos. You too?

There are times when an artist’s work reverberates with you. There is a gut reaction. An awareness that things are pretty darn good. Australian photographer Prue Ruscoe has long been a favourite of mine (as you can see here, here and here) so it was only natural to visit her work again after reviewing interior stylist’s Shannon Fricke’s new book How to Decorate last week. Shannon and Prue are a dynamic duo when it comes to interior features for magazines. And look what I found on Prue’s rep’s site. Gorgeous, inspiring, wonderful, shiny, happy, pretty little visual gifts for us all. The woman is a genius with a camera.
