Lovely light

Posted on Fri, 21 Aug 2009 by midcenturyjo

It’s almost the weekend. I couldn’t imagine a better place to spend some quiet me time than curled up with a book (and some crumpets) in this beautiful London studio. Just enough period features, lots of faded white and gorgeous gorgeous light. Time to put the kettle on. Join me? Another stunning Light Location.

Max Attenborough

One moment so pretty, bright, white, overflowing with peony pink and girly delights. The next moment dark and vintage, rough and indie. Meet my new photographer crush Max Attenborough. Imagine being faced with a stylist’s imagination gone wild and then having to capture not only the look but the feel. Max fearlessly faces all the foibles a stylist can muster to bring us these stunning shots. Great work!

Brad Ford encore

I’ve been a bad blogger. I haven’t been keeping up with a lot of my favourite designers’ websites. If I had been diligent I would have already posted the new work by interior designer Brad Ford. Talk about casual elegance. A lovely mix of neutrals warmed with muted raspberries and citrus greens, warm orange reds and icy blues. Layers of texture in monochrome palettes. Vintage glam and fabulous artwork. Truth be told I’d very likely commit a crime to get the office pictured above. Swoon! For even more of his latest work head over to his blog Design Therapy to see how this clever son made over his parents’ first house on a very limited budget.
