Stalking leftovers

Posted on Sat, 15 Apr 2017 by midcenturyjo

Hello my name is Jo and I’m a real estate addict. I stalk listings hoping to find the perfect property I can’t afford anyway. Oh well a girl can dream. There is one problem though. I’m fussy. Not quite right, love the bones but ditch the furniture, bad photos, I need more photos please! Can’t quite put my finger on it listings with something that has me nodding “yes”. This week I’ve found my usual old houses with expansive extensions, a little stone cottage with a new lease on life, incredible views over Bondi Beach, weird posturing, hip inner city pads, even a reader’s home. Click on the photos to go to the listings. All via Domain.

I can’t make up my mind which room is my favourite but I definitely know that I would never want to get up in the morning if that was my bedroom. Ojai House by Reath Design.

Spaces by Daniela Tosca York

Before we head into the Easter long weekend (we’ll still be blogging each day just a bit less than usual) here is a glimpse into the minimalist yet dramatic world of British designer Daniela Tosca York. Pretty and glam with some pink, marble and large scale art. XOXO.

Fiona Duke and dark spaces done proper

My heart will always be with the dark and dramatic, so I was pleased as punch to discover someone shares my passion for moody, inky shades. Fiona Duke is an interior designer based in Essex, U.K. and I love her eclectic, casual style. I discovered several of these fabulous photos are of her own home so she’s designing and living in awesomeness.

Never underestimate the power of neutrals

Beige, white, gold, tan, brass, brown, sand….all of these colours together make for such a warm, sophisticated and polished space. With the assemblage of gorgeous furnishings by the oh-so-talented Brian Paquette, this condo is a beauty.
