Time for a virtual getaway in Paris. A mini hotel on the Rue du Bac in the 6th arrondissement by Batiik Studio. Shapes, colours and textures play with each other in a light-hearted way creating visual interest and an interior far from boring traditional hotel rooms.

Because I am now smitten with the easy-going, timeless, neutral style of Moore House Design I thought I would share an assortment of other spaces by this talented firm. Photos: Erin Little, Erin McGinn, Zach Dezon.
Mieke ten Have is an interiors stylist, design writer, and creative consultant who has worked for many top magazines such as Vogue, Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, House & Garden and others. Her talent as a stylist is obvious given these exceptional spaces. What I would do to have her wander my home and work her magic.

A designer however creative feels the constraints of a client’s brief. Very few are given carte blanche. That is of course except for their own homes. Juan Moreno Lopéz-Calull is the founder and designer at John Brown Projects, a Barcelona-based interior design firm and art consultancy and this is his vibrant home. Statement chairs, pops of colour (check out the multi coloured cornice), an iron doorway and art, art and more art. Fun, fresh and fabulous.
My love of all things dark. moody and full of texture and patina with lots of vintage will never ever waiver. And why my love of the style of designer Sean Anderson will also never waiver. When he goes dark he does it so incredibly well, and unlike any other designer I know. This home in Tennessee is packed with character and drama and I could stare at these beautiful spaces for hours.
