Pink extravaganza in a Florida home

Posted on Thu, 27 Feb 2025 by KiM

When in Florida…..bring on the pink! One of my favourite designers, Annie Brahler of Eurotrash, grew up in South Florida and designed this Naples home in “traditional Floridian” style but with her own dramatic, blingy spin on it. She went full-on with pink and the warm Florida weather and all the beautiful colours of the landscape are the perfect backdrop for such a bold approach. Photos: Dan Cutrona.

A postmodern home in Dallas

I adore postmodern design, and I feel like the world could use soooo much more of it. Bold colour choices, geometric patterns, shapely furniture that are often pieces of art themselves….it’s a vibrancy and creativity that really has a wonderful appeal and you can’t help but smile at. Designer Jen Talbot created such a fabulous home here with a more neutral colour palette in the main spaces (the brown and black accents add the pop postmodernism calls for) and then a huge wow factor in the main bedroom and children’s bathroom. The bedroom and ensuite colour palette is spectacular. Photos: Stephen Karlisch.

A colourful Tudor farmhouse in Suffolk

Posted on Mon, 17 Feb 2025 by KiM

Set amidst the picturesque countryside of East England, this charming farmhouse is an exciting, ongoing project we’re delighted to be undertaking with our wonderful clients. Based overseas, they sought us out to design and deliver a home rich with character and warmth, where each room flows seamlessly into the next, while honouring the property’s architectural heritage. Spanning three floors, this long, narrow property showcases elements from different historical periods, all brimming with unique features and character. Our clients collaborated with a local architectural firm to sensitively restore the farmhouse, transforming it into a 21st-century retreat that comfortably accommodates their young family and allows for entertaining when they’re in the UK. Our vision for this home is to create a classic feel without formality—lifting the heavy woodwork and original beams with vibrant colours and charming patterns that bring a sense of joy and warmth.
This home is overflowing with English vibes, whimsy and so many pretty colours and patterns! Perfect for a Suffolk farmhouse getaway with its beautiful architectural elements. Designed by Sean Symington.

Keeping it classic in Victorian home in Oxford

Posted on Thu, 13 Feb 2025 by KiM

This four story Victorian home in Oxford had once been a boarding house for a local school. At some point it was converted into a proper home and the layout sorted, and when designer Charlotte Boundy was enlisted to add some design to the interior she created a serene and relaxing home with the prettiest of colours and patterns. The result is brighter, softer and much more welcoming. Photos: Paul Whitbread.

A renovated bungalow in Texas

Designer Liz MacPhail saved this bungalow in Austin, Texas (along with Forrm Architects) and turned it into an absolutely charming home filled with character and history, and now modernity, whilst improving the flow and utility of the spaces. And salvaged everything she could along the way. Kudos to those ethos. Photos: Casey Dunn.
