Located in Provence, near the picturesque medieval town of Uzès, this remarkable historic château dates from the 13th century. This former property of the Baron de Castille was acquired in 1950 by the legendary British art historian and collector Douglas Cooper. He commissioned the famous Spanish cubist artist to paint five monumental frescoes in the castle, which were later classified as historic monuments along with other parts of the castle. Castille Castle offers over 560 m2 of living space, including 7 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms and over 180 m2 of reception rooms. The gardens and the 2 hectare park include a gallery, a pond, a caretaker’s house and outbuildings. The charming interior has been decorated by renowned interior designer Dick Dumas. In total, the property offers 2 hectares of magnificent parkland with formal gardens and avenues of majestic holm oaks leading to cenotaphs. Nothing tugs at my heart strings more than a home that looks lived in, that has maintained original architectural details worthy of another 100 years of adoration. This 1920’s hacienda-style house in Pasadena, California is home to designer Todd Nickey of Nickey Kehoe (and once was the home of his husband’s grandparents). It is filled with character and whimsy and has such a cozy, welcoming quality. I could not love this more.

Contrasting styles and eras is what I live for. That tension and unexpectedness is so very welcome in a see of trends and lack of imagination I find so prevalent these days. Ryan Lawson created magic with a combination of traditional Sag Harbour architecture and his clients’ appreciation for contemporary art and vintage furniture. That juxtaposition is captivating. Next to the Vondelpark, this family residence is a mix of classic grandeur and ethnic playfulness. The marble kitchen is the heart of the house. This 5 floor villa is a mix of living areas, spa, offices and a yoga studio. We were super happy with the family, because they do love colours, wallpapers and prints with a unique twist. I love that each space is such a wonderful, vivacious mix of colours, patterns and textures. So much fun whilst maintaining a sense of elegance. Designed by Atelier ND Interior.
