Take on old harbour cantina on an island in Amsterdam and an architect with lofty ideas, and you end up with a set of 4 residential lofts that are every modernists’ dream. By Marc Koehler Architects.

Studio McGee is consistently a top notch resource for thirst-quenching interior decor inspiration. This Pacific Palisades project is among one of my favourites. Classy furnishings, lots of crisp white, a kitchen that could not be more inviting, dreamy bathrooms with marble countertops and tiles that have me swooning, a bit of pattern for some graphic detail…it is a home I want to sink my teeth into. It’s not healthy for me to stalk the properties for sale on The Modern House. Not healthy at all. You see I get jealous very easily. Take for example this House for a Painter by Dingle Price in London. It really should be a House for Jo. Don’t you agree? A former Victorian dairy now a home and studio. It’s just what I never knew I really, really wanted.

This beautifully renovated home located in Ciutadella de Minorca, Spain makes for an ideal spot to spend the hot summers. Bright whites, tile and stained concrete floor, rustic architecture and casual furnishings have me wanting to pack my bags. This no-nonsense, leave-your-flip-flops-on decor is so inviting. *sigh* Via Micasa.

I have some more European chic interiors for you because I may be a bit obsessed. This time it is the home of Adri & Silvia by Milan-based interior and product designer Pietro Russo. I adore the simplicity of this home which only emphasizes the dreamy architectural details. This designer is even more talented in the products he has crafted, including some beautiful lighting (see photo #5) and the room divider bookshelf in the 4th photo.
