Studio Todd Raymond has crafted a modern yet rustic weekend retreat in the Hudson Valley. Featuring double-height spaces, massive barn beams and concrete floors, the design is both eclectic and cohesive. Beams delineate zones, while a neutral palette of creams, greys, and blacks enhances the aesthetic. This retreat epitomizes contemporary rustic charm.

Since March of 2020, Electric Bowery Principal Cayley Lambur and her young family have taken up residence in Big Sur, CA, bringing new life to this Mickey Muennig gem. The main house has been restored and updated to celebrate connection to the outdoors, local organic materials. The renovation of the existing main house required a thoughtful reconfiguration of spaces internally, including the custom kitchen. A warm and earthy palette is carried through the home, layering textures and natural materials, old & new. The consistent use of redwood paneling throughout the home offers the experience of bringing the outside inwards, contrasted and complemented by the incorporation of color through art, tile and textiles. A trailer on the property was restored and renovated to accommodate additional guest quarters, and further modified to create an office space outside of the main house for remote work.
I love the warmth of a home clad in wood. Such a great cabin/cottage vibe that would keep you feeling cozy through winter (though not so much a concern in California, eh). This home is stepped up a notch or two with some really cool furnishings.

This home and the lifestyle it embodies are all about embracing the natural essence of this sybaritic island through an authentic celebration of indoor-outdoor living. Through a series of interconnected pavilions, a collected, art-forward home came together, revealing a deeply rich and intense color palette full of playfulness, elegance, and luxury. A mixture of ebonized gray French Oak and limestone flooring, paired with warm plaster walls adds to the relaxing and inviting interior.

This Austin ranch designed by Light and Dwell is “mountain ranch” style and I am loving every inch of it. Stone walls and fireplaces (mostly painted white…..ugh but does lighten things up), exposed wood ceiling beams in almost every room, the warmed wood kitchen, lots of furry chairs I want to sink into, and everything bathed in soothing neutrals. We brought a 1970s lakeside cottage back to life with a complete gut remodel, restoring the vintage cabin feel and layering with vintage and luxury finishes to create a boutique short term rental experience for guests to enjoy. We were going for a laid-back luxury vibe bringing in lots of our favorite vintage pieces collected over time. We used handmade tile, natural stone, and textiles in rich, earthy colors and organic textures. We let the outside in with new patio doors and windows throughout. While the main room was painted with a warm white, we dialed up the mood in the bedrooms and bathrooms with deep, earthy tones. 
If I stumbled upon this cool cottage on Airbnb I’d be booking it on the spot. Not your typical cottage vibes and definitely amping up the sophistication. Designed by Meet West Studio.
