Not real estate stalking. Real estate offices. Inspiration comes from all around us. Great ideas for your home can be found at your favourite restaurant, that cool new shop in the high street or even an office space. Ideas translate and before you know it commercial inspires domestic. Earthy, textural, modern and urban. By Melbourne based interior designers Eades & Bergman.
I so want this space as my studio/work room/office. Fine old architectural bones. Tick. Great big window. Tick. Loads of shelving, cool furniture, Achille Castiglioni Taraxacum light (my all time favourite)and a boucherouite rug. Sigh. See more of this amazing house by Undercover Architects here.
Brisbane based interior design firm Wrightson Stewart create sleek, stylish, masculine spaces, clean lined and contemporary. Their work is sharp like a well honed knife cutting through the frou frou and excessive. Unless you like your minimalist luxury in excess that is. With their latest design for a Teneriffe Warehouse Apartment shortlisted for both the Australian Interior Design Awards 2013 and 2013 HOUSES Award (and coming soon to Desire to Inspire, right guys?) principals Steven Stewart and Ian Wrightson have shared images of their inner city studio and a pop up bar for the La Boite Theatre with us to whet our appetites until the awards are announced.
Think of the possibilities. Home office, studio, exercise room, chill zone, man cave, hell no woman cave! A super stylish box down the back of your yard. It’s the Backyard Room. Launched in March this year at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show where it won the sustainability award and the silver award for best garden, Backyard Room is an innovative new offering from the team at Archiblox. I want one for that spot way down the back of my garden. All to my own. Just have to keep it secret from my husband!
Or should that be studio of dreams? Close to perfect don’t you think? The castles I could create, the plans I could hatch draw, the clients I could bedazzle impress if I had such a space for my own. Mill Valley Studio by Jute.
