Architect and property developer Adelene Teh of Beulah International is a firm believer that staff are at their most innovative when relaxed. Her design for her company’s head office uses monochrmatic and earthy tones, high ceilings, a wall of greenery and is washed in beautiful natural light. “My vision was to create a space that people love to work in and a space that encourages interaction, team work and communication, which is achieved through the juxtaposition of corporate and residential design characteristics, ” says Adelene. What she has created is a relaxed yet professional space that is beautiful and functional.

I LOVE this! Book storage under stairs! The scheme makes the most of the split floor levels, as floors in the snug become walls, with flooring lining recessed walls, and steps become shelves extending around the walls, and becoming a bench seat by the existing fireplace on one side, and a desk on the other. The steps have been appropriated as a place for family members to sit, chat, read, write, draw, perform, and play, and the snug has become the centre of the home and of family life. A hairdressing salon with Art Deco references and beautiful bespoke fittings and furniture by Pietro Russo. Of course the shots are of the space sans clutter, towels and hair clippings but then again such an exclusive salon would have a bevy of apprentices at the ready to sweep and zhush.
