Country Living by Heather Bullard

Posted on Thu, 27 Apr 2017 by midcenturyjo

Heather Bullard is a contributing editor for Country Living magazine and a freelance editorial prop stylist and producer – DREAM JOB! She also lives in southern California and just finished having her DREAM HOME built. And dreamy is right! OMG I love every inch of this house. White and wood and bits of country and dabs of modern and white marble tiles and counter…I think I have died and gone to heaven. That kitchen tho’!

Tropical paradise

Posted on Thu, 27 Apr 2017 by KiM

Thursday – the sad forgotten sister of Friday. No one ever yells “Thank God it’s Thursday”. No one ever counts down the last few hours until after work drinks or the freedom of the weekend. Thursday is a plod-along day, a “let’s get it over so we can go to sleep and yell TGIF the next morning” sort of day. So here is my Thursday gift to you, a virtual escape to brighten up the stolid workaday. Tamarind Beach at Paradise Cove, a compound of three houses (for vacation rental) in the tropical paradise of Vanuatu. A sophisticated taste of island life steps from crystal blue waters and coral reefs. This is one virtual getaway I wish I could make in real life.

Earthy neutrals

Tactile fabrics merge with earthy neutrals. Ancient blends with modern. Rough co-exists with luxurious. Where every piece is completely unique. A Chicago row house designed by Michael Del Piero

(We love Michael to bits. See here, here and here)

I stumbled upon the Montreal townhouse of New York interior designer Garrow Kedigian and had to share because it is all kinds of traditional fabulousness. He is a master at making classic look chic, and his colours selections are outstanding. I particularly love the colours in the dining room – that wall colour (Benjamin Moore’s Caribbean Teal) is to die for. Photos by Paul Raeside for House Beautiful
