I need a little dose of rustic in my decor – I appreciate the beauty of the outdoors and all things in nature. Earthy appeals to me. Mark Egerstrom‘s most definitively aesthetic appeals to me. He’s all about rustic spaces and beautiful wood furniture.

Indeed it's a very successful mix of rustic and modern. Awesome.

I've tried to get used to it, I really have. I completely understand the appeal of having more advertisers. But I'm looking at 3/4ths of vertical pictures, and the area loss in all the pictures, for ads that could just join the right hand column — this was my favorite blog, for it's stunning visual impact as well as the insightful commentary. Not so much impact, any more.

The contrast between modern and rustic really surprise me, it looks amazingly beautiful!

Liked the rustic element. By the way what is the wall hanging in the second picture

I have to agree with oregonbird. I read this on a tablet and I have to expand everything to even be able to read the words which means I can't scroll properly. I love this blog and you both do such a good job, but this new format with the ads on the right side makes it hard work.

Folks, we really appreciate feedback about the blog, but this is a post about Mark Egerstrom's designs, and not an appropriate place for these comments. Please send us an email instead.
Thanks

The top 5 or so images especially have so much inspiration! The aesthetic improvement is but one of the benefits of a more rustic and natural setting and besides all the environmental benefits of not over-processing materials, I think we are physiologically more able to relax and be well in such environments.

Ew snow (fourth picture). That aside, these rooms are charming and approachable in their scale and warmth. I'm really taken by that room in the fifth photo—where does that ladder go, I wonder?

That is an awesome shower 'cubicle' – i worry about that timber though!

Hello just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you
know a few of the pictures aren’t loading properly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue.

I’ve tried it in two different browsers and both show the same outcome.
