Stuck stalking

Many apologies dear readers. I am still real estate stalking. I am trapped in a virtual world pacing back and forth outside houses for sale, peeking through their virtual net curtains. It is the Spring auction season, a time when owners spruce and zhush and real estate agents preen and strut. There is money to make, properties to move off the books. Today I’m in Bowral in New South Wales. A country cottage with lots of stylish vignettes. See for yourself. Here are lots of pictures of them. Methinks the house has had a magazine spread and the agent and owners like them a lot better than the photos the agent took. I have included only two of those, the outside and the master bedroom. Speaking of the master bedroom that is an interesting way of using an old unused fireplace to separate the ensuite from the main room. This pretty country cottage with its pretty vignettes can be found here while it lasts.

All are very lovely spaces, however, the thing that stood out the most to me was the beautiful green antique demigiana in the wire basket.

This is Sara Silm's house I think?

Sara Silm says:

Jo it's Sara Silm (aka Kim's post 15th April 2008) I live in Moscow now and yes, our little cottage was featured in a mag—Australian Country Style (images by Sue Stubbs). We've put it on the market with much regret. It seems we will be here in Moscow for some time yet. The icy winds are moving in up here and I'm constantly picturing our house in all is Springtime glory; verandah dripping in Wisteria, blue bells blooming in the forest and the scent my David Austin Roses. I so hope it finds an owner who will love it as much as we have! Thank you for your beautiful blog. For an Aussie a long way from home, it never fails to provide a much welcome escape! All the best Jo, Sara

I love every bit of this, with the exception of the master bedroom/bath.

Beautiful home. Love the studio/office. However and I prefer a bigger separation between bed and bath. Also, I would have removed the bench press and exercise ball for the pics. Just a pet peeve…

Wow! So very un-assuming from the front… but inside is all Elle Decor! My dream home, just perfect! >_<

WOW! I love this home but I agree with TieDye64 about the bedroom, it has SO much potential. Sara you must miss your home terribly. It is beautiful and something I aspire to do with my own home one day.

This place is wonderful! Elegant, not luxurious is the way the go to create unpretentious but beautiful spaces. It also looks liveable, practical, and cozy! More like this please!

I love this house. It's so deceiving from the outside but the interior is just beautiful. However, I think I'd like to change the stove area a bit and the bedroom perhaps. Is the bathroom and bedroom an open concept?
