As I’ve stated on this blog at least a dozen times, I love a space that is a combination of old and new. Modern blending with traditional. Opposing genres is unexpected and this tension really does it for me. The apartment below is a dream. Old world architecture that is to die for, mixed with rustic, classic and modern furnishings. The resulting juxtaposition is stunning. And OMG take a close look at the detail in the bedroom ceiling. (Via Le case di Elixìr)

This design is both beautiful and functional. So often they're pretty but I think about how I would function in the space and I know I wouldn't be able to live there, but this is great. I love the aisle of cupboards in the last picture.

One of the best posts! Love it ….love the old wooden beams of the ceilings…combined with the concrete wall!!…what a contrast…!..the tufted sofa , modern white kitchen design with stainless steel ducts against the wood are spectacular…Overall great combinaton of old and new , cold and warm, modern and classical , makes the apartment unique and interesting …the use of white expands and gives light to the space ……well done!

I don't like the old wooden beams of these ceilings because it looks dirty and gives a claustrophobic feel to the room. Same with the stenciled concrete walls. Not impressed at all…

Is there any way you can let us know where the dresser is from? I have fallen in love with this room, and need help finding a similar dresser.
