Stalking an iconic Australian architect

Gissling House, Wahroonga, Sydney. Described as a modest domestic work by Harry Seidler. Untouched by time and fads, developer or the market. As perfect as the day it was completed in 1972. Definitely not modest. To me a suburban jewel of modernism. For sale. I wish I could be so lucky to call this home. Link here while it lasts.

Thank you for sharing this fabulous house with us. I remember driving past this house when I was growing up, idolising the owners and visualising what it was like inside and how it would be to live there… Just as perfect as I imagined.

Great style love this house and also Harry!
Thanks for sharing

I really like the ceiling of this place and it is almost the same colour as my old chapel. It seems everyone has painted their church or chapel conversion white, but I am not sure what to do with mine. If you look at the pictures of this house, could you tell me what colour the walls are? Or what colour you think would go with that ceiling in a big, open space. Much appreciated. Anton
