Stalking bottlebrush in the backyard

Posted on Fri, 26 Oct 2012 by midcenturyjo

From its red front door to the beautiful red fluff of the bottlebrush trees in the courtyard this North Fitzroy, Melbourne single storey terrace brings a smile to  my face. Love the dining room, the alfresco eating in the side courtyard and the small sitting room next to the kitchen hub. One last thing. Would the gardening gods please give me that espaliered “whatever” tree it is. I have a spot next to my garden shed that would be perfect for it. Real estate stalking…. again. Link here while it lasts.

I loved the entire house and all of its belongings. The patio doors are lovely. Is that a washed treatment on the outside? I also really liked the sketched dog portrait.

d of dogland says:

Holy moly! Especially love the wall with the collection and the sketched dog portrait.

Monica N. says:

it's a beautiful house! I adore that back-yard.

Erin says:

The only thing I disliked about this house is that the bathroom is SO far away from the bedrooms, that seems like it would be very annoying for the person in the far room to have to use the restroom in the middle of the night! The rest of the house is gorgeous, I love the light.

Annie says:

As with Erin I loved everything about this house except where the bathroom is situated – to the extent I likely wouldn't purchase it (should I ever have been in the lucky position for this to even be an option!). The rest is gorgeous though.

E riley says:

I thought its codec to not have a bathroom right off kitchen. I thought you needed 2doors between bathroom and kitchen

I love this house!! And…. wow!! I'm in your blogroll! So, so proud! Thank you! 🙂
