If you would like to send me photos to include in next week’s pets on furniture post, please ensure your photos follow these basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off…and your pet happens to be sitting on it. And second, if the photo is too dark or unfocused it may not make the cut. Photos, your name, location and a brief description can be sent to kim[at]desiretoinspire[dot]net. Thanks!
Please see the attached photo of our French Bulldog puppy Truffle. She lives in Melbourne, Australia and is three months old. (She’s on instagram @trufflethefrenchie). It was an unplanned photo, it’s the first time she’s laid down like this. She’s usually quite a character, such as the below… so to get her off guard like this was quite funny.

This is Bandi our funny dwarf rabbit. He sits on the garden furniture. Your website inspired us to prepare our handcrafted wood bench for the garden.

Bruno (black poodle mix) and Pequita love the same couch.

I’m always waiting with curiosity the appointment on Monday and finally Voilà Giuni, my boyfriend’s cat, 2 years old, while he relaxes in a hot summer afternoon on a lounge chair Ikea and, in the third picture, the first day that has been adopted and taken home, when immediately takes possession of the sofa! I love her!!

This is a picture of my younger brother and little rescue Piko on a Danish sofa. Piko passed away due to lung cancer 2 years ago at age 12, and looking at this picture brought tears to my eyes. Also, loving my brother’s hair. Classic.
-Elli (Sydney, Australia)
This is the little ginger kitten my son just brought home. My son named him Ares (after the god of war), but my granddaughters call him Pumpkin and lately I’ve been calling him Fred Weasley because he’s into so much mischief that I’m afraid it’s going to get him into trouble! At any rate, here’s a photo of him completely worn out from upending my houseplants!

So here’s my little cat, Pixelle who turns 2 years old on the 31 of August. She’s named like that because she enjoys watching me play video games on my computer (and because Pixel is a boy’s name, we all know that ^^) On the first picture she was still a baby cat, sleeping on what used to be an Ikea shelf, that I turned into a climbing tree/cat house. On the second one, she happened to jump on my newly acquired 19th century wooden chest when I took the picture. By the way she loves to hide and sleep in it !

Love the mix of modern and traditional, concrete and gilt. Devonport, Auckland house renovations by McKinney + Windeatt Architects.
… and it’s Scrubby Bay. Nestled between the rolling hills of Annandale, a working farm and luxury holiday escape east of Christchurch, New Zealand, is a private guest house for 14. Remote, luxurious, magical. The subtle beauty of the design by architectural firm Pattersons only enhances the experience of this very special slice of paradise.
And to match this spectacular scenery and outstanding design is the photography by Simon Devitt.
