Island life

Raised above the dunes to take advantage of the view, the breezes and the lingering sunsets is a wooden box of a house. Honest in its construction. Thoughtful in its materials. Beautiful in its simplicity. Shelter Island house by Tamarkin Co.

A new designer in town

There is a new designer here in Ottawa and I am so glad she sent me an email introduction. Veronica Martin is beginning to kick some interior design ass in my city (the city that needs all the help it can get) and I am stoked to see how her work evolves. Here is a little sample. It is a renovation project of an 80 year old home in Toronto and I love this one because my sister Jen has almost the exact same kitchen and she has been wondering what to do with it. Welcome to O-town Veronica!

Lindsay Pennington

California interior designer Lindsay Pennington creates spaces that I really enjoy, mostly for their eclectic vibe with bold colour choices. Lindsay brings a fresh mix of classic elements and contemporary updates to each of her projects. Pennington’s approach to interior design incorporates the comfortable traditions of her Southern upbringing with the sophisticated tastes of today. Her designs have been recognized as beautiful and eclectic, creatively blending colors, textures and patterns to achieve rooms with elegance and warmth.
