Rare sighting of child’s room on blog

Posted on Fri, 17 Mar 2017 by KiM

The headline says it all. We don’t feature children’s rooms very much on the blog. I guess it’s because neither Kim nor I have any of our own. I’d like to say that if I did I’d love a room like this for them but truth be told I would have loved a room like this for me growing up. You see I’ve got a thing for slides. A Brooklyn townhouse

Posted on Thu, 16 Mar 2017 by KiM

Continuing my crush on Brooklyn townhomes is this stunner designed by Elizabeth Bolognino. They are so fabulous from the outside, that the inside is like icing on the cake. Look at that door detail! AAAAHHHH!

An English manor farm

Posted on Thu, 16 Mar 2017 by KiM

I am crushing on this quintessentially English manor farm in Norfolk, U.K., home to interior designer Carlos GarciaWhile quite traditional it has elements that are a bit more eclectic and less country than you would expect. A bench painted matt black, pale blue walls, Eastern fabrics such as suzani and ikat….all make this very intriguing.

The kitchen of my dreams

Posted on Thu, 16 Mar 2017 by midcenturyjo

Oh my I’ve died and gone to kitchen heaven. This is it. English country kitchen perfection and… it’s a showroom. We all know I’m smitten by anything that deVOL Kitchens design so it’s no surprise that I have been following the fitout of their new Clerkenwell, London showroom on their Instagram account. Pink fireplace wall, handmade green wall tiles, bespoke cabinets in dreamy blue and copper pans hanging on a creamy tongue and groove wall. The little chandelier, majolica plates and vintage portrait are icing on the cake. I couldn’t wait for the showroom to turn up on their website. I just had to share their IG posts.

California coastal

California coastal style in a New England home by Kristina Crestin Design. I am not typically a big fan of this style or the colour blue but I am totally smitten with how well put together this living room. I never would have thought to pair aqua blue, olive green and orange/tan together but it’s gorgeous – and the art and patterned pillows and rug bring it all together. The bathroom is also pretty fab – modern yet really warm with the addition of golden-toned wood.
