Pardon me. I’m just an English kitchen junkie. Can’t get enough. Like this renovation based on period design with an injection of colour. Sunny yellow, ancient scrubbed kitchen table, dresser filled with china and a comfortable armchair by the range. Bliss. Hampshire Kitchen by Max Rollitt.
It’s American Gothic (painting) meets American Pickers (television). It’s dramatic and moody and quirky and fun. It’s intimate spaces and soaring ceilings. It’s theatre and performance, oasis and sanctuary. It’s John Mellencamp’s Island Retreat in South Carolina by interior designer Monique Gibson and it’s fabulous.
An apartment in Monaco can only be one thing – STYLISH! This mid-century vibing pad has a Parisian chic vibe that I have come to expect from Monaco-based architectural duo Humbert & Poyet. The lighting throughout this space is fantastic – especially that spunik light over the dining table. WOWZERS!!! (No, I don’t understand the point of the hunk of steak art either – to each their own as they say…)
It’s Scandi monochrome done right. A stark, limited palette warmed by exposed brick accents and a rug of muted jewel colours. As for the piano! Love it. Private residence by Helsinki-based interior designer Laura Seppänen.
I do have a thing for an old house and of couse it was love at first sight when I saw this Georgian building in the London’s Spitalfields. Just the perfect amount of restoration and renovation. Modern living with a historical emphasis. Even the name has me swooning. The Huguenot Physician’s House by Chris Dyson Architects.
