They forgot to say beautiful, light filled, stylish and fabulous but I guess that’s obvious.

Ah Maximalism! Never having to say no to surrounding yourself with what you love. Art, pottery, books and the collections, from treasures to not so mundane mementoes like the remnants of a modern day Grand Tour. It should be chaos but instead this 900 sq ft apartment in Gramercy Park, NY is a celebration of its owner. Design largesse by Alexandra Loew.

A renovated mansion in France

Over the holidays I came across this mansion in La Rochelle, France and was immediately smitten. You can’t really go wrong with “mansion” and “France” but in this case I will admit the decor could use some re-working. Can’t fault the source, architecture Lionel Coutier as he was responsible for the renovation of this 350 m2 beauty. I do think some of the colours are alot of fun and a great way to maintain a casual vibe.
