The Love Shack

Posted on Wed, 17 Mar 2021 by midcenturyjo

It’s a bright and colourful take on the beach shack without the cliches. Comfortable, uncluttered, and beautiful. Think small footprint with everything for the two of you to live large. After all, it’s the Love Shack by New York and Sarasota based Ellen Hanson Designs.

Grand millennial

This Greenwich, CT historic home has EvErYtHiNg. Drama and grandeur as soon as you walk through the front door, eye-popping colours, patterns and textures, and such incredible attention to detail that every room requires careful inspection such that nothing is missed. A masterpiece designed by Shazalynn Cavin-Winfrey of SCW Interiors.

I love this home! Eclectic with a bit of a traditional vibe mixed with cottage casual chicness. Such pretty and soothing colours. Designed by Meredith Kleinman.

Chic and monochrome on Park Ave

This Park Avenue apartment by Julie Hillman is another beautiful example of thoughtful curation. Hillman “feels that every item in a room should be in conversation with one another while maintaining its own significance.” Distinctive, timeless, and unique.

Curated calm

“I am drawn to natural pieces and finishes and artisan craftsmanship, I believe deeply in the integration of old and new, creating a timelessness. Taking into consideration the context and architectural history of a project is essential for my design process. I am forever sourcing antiques and have an eye for extraordinary pieces that might otherwise go unseen or unloved. Moreover, I see myself as a curator of spaces, as much as I do an interior designer.”

Beautiful and calm, collected and chic. Ladbroke Gardens by Hollie Bowden.
