L’appartement Jardin des Tuileries

Posted on Fri, 22 Jun 2018 by KiM

After having watched the dearly departed Anthony Bourdain’s Layover episode in Paris while eating dinner last night, and seeing such a beautiful space like this apartment in le Jardin des Tuileries, I could totally see myself living it up in that incredibly unique city. (And I speak French!) L’Appartment Parisien did a wonderful job adding some understated elegance here. And that multi-coloured set of Gubi beetle chairs has me totally sold.

Real estate stalking in Stockholm

Posted on Sun, 17 Jun 2018 by KiM

I spotted this fabulous and spacious apartment for sale in Stockholm via Lagerlings and had to share. The detail in the hardwood floors is TO DIE FOR, the moldings, the elegant bathrooms, the neutral colour scheme also have captured my heart. And for reasons I can’t quite figure out, I am obsessed with the curtains in the main living spaces.

The Stockholm apartment of architect Daniel Heckscher of Note Design Studio demonstrates quite dramatically the power of paint. Formerly a white box in an ugly building from 1988, he brought in a lot of creativity, which included some help from his 2 young children who must absolutely love spending time here. It is such a vibrant and whimsical home, and quite amazing when you think of how it can be transformed into something completely different with just a couple more cans of paint!

Are you feeling blue?

B-b-b-b-b-blue. Harry Nuriev of Crosby Studios has taken his signature pastels and brass accents and punched them up a notch with a statement royal blue in his own Manhattan apartment. Could you? Would you? Are you feeling blue? I am! Fun, fresh and definitely in your face.

An industrial loft in a converted factory

Posted on Sun, 10 Jun 2018 by KiM

Keeping my industrial loft obsession going strong is this absolutely incredible apartment on the top floor of a converted factory in the British town of Loughborough. I’m not sure what I’m dying over most – the exposed brick, the ceiling trestles, the collection of Togo sofas, the massive antique crystal chandeliers, allllllll those windows, the view, the copper bathtub, the marble sink…… OMG!!! Available as a location space via Shoot Factory.
