There’s colour and pattern, quirk and personality, new and old. It’s lived in and layered and so much fun. Why would you be a minimalist when you can surround yourself with so much character? I couldn’t choose just one home by Portland, Oregon based interior designer Max Humphrey so I cherry picked my favs.

William T. Georgis creates extra special spaces with bold art statements. Some examples were in my last post but these ones I am partial to.

William T. Georgis is an architect and interior designer from New York whose style is very much high-class with some wacky, bold accents such as massive graphic wall art, some very bizarre sculptural art, the most beautiful curved sectional I think I have ever seen, and “bullet glass” in a bathroom. Statement spaces that are innovative and far from trendy.

I’m like a child in a candy store. Where do I look first? So much goodness to devour. Mid century furniture, gallery wall, the rugs, fabulous vignettes sprinkled with a great collection of West German pottery. I need to pore over these photos to wring out all the inspiration. This pied-à-terre by Alexandra Kidd Design starts with a classic aesthetic and ramps up the impact with bold bursts of colour. Rich pinks, reds and oranges are splashed across the living room with vivid art works and fabrics but the energy is tempered by neutral walls and floors. Watch out for the bedroom though. Yellow and fuschia reign. An apartment where small makes a big impact.
